The Federation Council decides upon the number of Deputy Speakers of the Federation Council. The candidates for the Deputy Speakers of the Federation Council are nominated by the Speaker of the Federation Council from among the members of the Federation Council and are elected by secret ballot.
The responsibilities are distributed among Deputy Speakers of the Federation Council in accordance with the House Rules of the Federation Council by an executive order of the Speaker of the Federation Council.
