Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko met with Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova.
The conversation took place in Tashkent on the platform of the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the events of which are attended by both speakers.
The parties noted the effectiveness of interstate and inter-parliamentary cooperation and the focus on comprehensive implementation of the decisions reached during the visit of the Federation Council delegation headed by Valentina Matvienko to Baku in March.
