Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh expressed the hope that Russian-Bahraini parliamentary contacts would encourage further expansion of interstate interaction and partnership.
According to Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Russian-Bahraini relations are progressing in many areas; the two countries have reached a high level of bilateral relations based on friendship and mutual respect.
“We share the common wish of peace and stability in the region and intend to strengthen the strategic partnership with Russia for encouraging the search for diplomatic solutions as the only way of overcoming regional and international crises,” Chairman of Consultative Council of the Kingdom of Bahrain said.
He reminded the audience that Bahrain was a guest country at the 28th St Petersburg International Economic Forum. He said that the decision to take part in the forum was taken on the basis of the Kingdom’s belief in the necessity to enhance economic, cultural and humanitarian ties with Russia. Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh said they signed agreements in a variety of areas, which reveals the firm desire to continue progressive movement to even broader cooperation prospects.
Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh noted that people in Bahrein are proud of the solid relations with the Russian Federation relying on mutual respect and constructive cooperation in different fields, including interparliamentary interaction, culture, education and professional personnel training.
“The Consultative Council of the Kingdom of Bahrain highly praises such steps and reaffirms its commitment to deepening the interparliamentary dialogue and more active constructive interaction in law-making, which will help putting the existing agreements into practice and benefit the peoples of the two countries,” Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh emphasised.
